This was also used to grind whole spices, all the millets, pulses , dry nuts and dry fruits. Wheat, pulses or other items are placed in the small circular well in the center and then one or two people together rotate the top wheel using the handle. Video of the same is given. This also used to make for a good form of exercise for hands and for your waist without going to the gym. You can still use this beautiful piece to grind grains or any spices.
